Thanking her for an excellent letter; hoping her father returns soon, remarking that "the Americans wish now for peace," and hoping that it pleases the Almighty to grant this; saying she is glad to hear that Jessie disapproves of the way Sundays are spent in Cork, and hoping "noting will ever Tempt you to act so improperly;" sending her love and discussing family members.
